Artist: Furuya Ceramics Co., Ltd. Line-carved rice bowl, medium size, iron-scattered
Tax included.
Furuya Seitosho's "Line Carved Rice Bowl, Medium, Iron Scattering" is a Shigaraki ware tea bowl made by Furuya Seitosho in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture.
The warm white of the powdered clay softly peeks out from the reddish clay, and the carefully carved lines create a beautiful design. Depending on the amount of white makeup and glaze applied, there are reddish, gray, and yellowish parts, giving it a deep flavor not found in pre-made products. The medium size is easy for women to use, and it can hold about 140g of rice when filled about 80% full.
The gentle white color of Kohiki ware harmonizes with any dish and brings out its color. There is no doubt that Furuya Seitosho's stylish plates will brighten up your everyday dining table.
