Artist Hideki Chono, Japanese paper pasted tea tray, S tea, Hiroshima
Tax included.
Hideki Chono's "Washi-pasted Sumikiri Tea Tray Hiroshima" is a rectangular wooden tray made of wood with washi paper pasted on it and then lacquered. Every step of the process is done by hand by Chono.
The washi paper used on the tableware allows you to enjoy the texture of washi paper, but it can also be washed with water, so it can be used for a variety of purposes other than just serving snacks. You can use it to place plates, directly on the table, or as a place to place small items, and the possibilities are endless.
The raised edges are the highlight of this piece. The octagonal shape with rounded corners creates a softer look.
It is water and oil resistant, so you can serve food directly on it. After use, please gently wash it with detergent if it is oily.
*Since each item is handmade, there may be slight differences between each one.
