The warm appeal of Saburo's glass
Saburo creates his pieces using a technique called kiln work. With this technique, small pieces of glass are combined, colored powdered glass is placed in the gaps between them, and then the pieces are fired in a kiln to create beautiful mosaic patterns. Furthermore, by blending colors in his own way and adding glass powder that changes color when fired, he achieves colors with a unique depth and richness. The husband and wife team carry out the above process to create pieces that exude the warmth of handmade items.
When Saburo's work catches the light, even the shadows are beautifully projected like art, creating a cool atmosphere. By incorporating it into your dining table, you can feel the coolness visually.
His work is also diverse in style, and is inspired by a variety of sources. His glass shows a different expression every time you look at it, and it can sometimes feel as if it is alive. The same piece can take on different atmospheres depending on the season and the light, so you can enjoy its charm all year round.
