The charm of Saburo's glassware, with its warmth
Saburo's glassware is created using a technique called kiln work. With this technique, small pieces of glass are combined, colored powdered glass is placed in the gaps between them, and then fired in a kiln to create beautiful mosaic patterns. Furthermore, by blending colors in his own way and adding glass powder that changes color when fired, he achieves colors with a unique depth and richness. The husband and wife team carry out the above process to create glassware that exudes the warmth of handmade items.
When Saburo's works receive light, even shadows are reflected beautifully like art, creating a cool atmosphere. When you incorporate these glassware into your dining table, you will feel a visual coolness.
His work is also diverse in style, and is inspired by a variety of sources. His glass shows a different expression every time you look at it, and it can sometimes feel as if it is alive. The same piece can take on different atmospheres depending on the season and the light, so you can enjoy its charm all year round.
