Characteristics of Asami Maeda’s Works
The most distinctive feature of Asami Maeda's work is its fresh, transparent white porcelain. The pure white radiance calms the viewer's mind and gives a feeling of purity, as if the beautiful morning light had been captured in the work.
Using a technique called "itchin," the squeezed patterns decorate the vessels as adorable accents. In addition, the "uchikomi" decoration, which imitates leaves found in nature, expresses the delicate veins in minute detail, allowing you to experience the beauty of a piece of nature.
