A amber-colored square plate with a leaf-like wave pattern

Mino Daisuke's "Ripple Candy Plate with Candy Glaze" is a candy-colored square plate decorated with a leaf-like wave pattern all over.

The wave pattern creates beautiful shadows and the accompanying changing colors. The uneven wave pattern prevents food from getting all over the dish, preventing moisture from building up.

It is perfect for serving side dishes, small dishes, and sashimi. We also recommend buying several plates and lining them up.

Mino Daisuke's simple yet warm tableware is sure to add color to your life.

Artist Mino Daisuke - Simple yet warm and colorful tableware

Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1980, Mino Daisuke is a ceramic artist with a background in architecture. He graduated from the Department of Architecture at Kindai University in 2003, and joined the ceramics club while still at school, which led him into the world of ceramics. He then graduated from the Ceramics Department of Kyoto Traditional Crafts College in 2005, and began to pursue a career in ceramics full-time.

For five years, from 2005 to 2010, he studied under Akira Okamoto at the Kasatori Kiln in Sumiyama, Kyoto, learning traditional pottery techniques and honing his own expression. In 2011, he set up his own studio in Takayama, Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, and became independent. He was also appointed as a "manufacturing supporter" by the non-profit organization Kyoto Hot Heart Center, and was seconded to the social welfare organization Tender House, where he was involved in activities beyond the scope of pottery.

In 2014, he moved his studio to Hokkejicho, Nara City, where he continues to energetically create his works. His unique works, which combine architectural knowledge with ceramic techniques, have a simple yet sophisticated beauty of form and are loved by many people as vessels that blend naturally into everyday life.
