A Charming Shigaraki Ware Plate with Intricately Carved "Shinogi" Patterns

The "Shinogi Narrow Rim Plate, Small, White" by Masanori Yamamoto is a beautiful piece that blends the tradition of Shigaraki ware with his unique, modern design.

The numerous delicately carved "shinogi" patterns are meticulously etched one by one by hand, adding color to the entire plate. The patterns on the rim not only give a festive impression to the dining table but also highlight the food, making it appear more appetizing.

A distinctive feature is the two narrow rows of shinogi, which allow for serving more food than a typical rimmed plate.

Due to being handmade, there are individual differences in color and carving, and the depth and luster will increase with use, allowing you to enjoy a one-of-a-kind texture.

A meal served on Masanori Yamamoto's stylish ware is sure to make your everyday life more cherished.

*As each item is handmade, there may be slight individual differences.
*The black specks on the pieces are iron content remaining in the clay that has oxidized during firing, which is a natural occurrence. This is also part of its individuality, so please compare the expressions of each piece and enjoy the differences.

There are three series: a series with diagonal "shinogi" patterns, a "Nawame" (rope pattern) series created by carving vertical lines and then finely carving diagonally into the remaining parts to produce a warm texture like cable-knit, and the "Hana Shinogi" (flower shinogi) series, which appears as vibrant as blooming flowers.
