Shigaraki ware with a delicate "rope pattern" shinogi carving on the rim

Masanori Yamamoto's "Rope Pattern Rim Plate, Medium, Black" is a beautiful piece that blends the tradition of Shigaraki ware with Masanori Yamamoto's unique contemporary design.

The delicate "rope pattern" shinogi carving on the rim is created by carving vertical lines and then finely carving diagonal lines into the remaining parts, producing a warm texture reminiscent of knitted cable patterns.

It is not flat, but shaped like a shallow bowl, making it naturally stylish when used for salads, curries, or pasta dishes.

The pattern on the rim not only adds a festive touch to the dining table but also draws focus to the food, making it look more appealing.

Since each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color and carving. With use, it gains depth and luster, allowing you to enjoy a unique texture that becomes one-of-a-kind.

Meals enjoyed with Masanori Yamamoto's stylish dishes are sure to make everyday life more cherished.

*As each item is handmade, there may be slight individual differences. Therefore, some pieces may have a greenish or bluish tint to the black color.
*The black spots on the pieces are iron content remaining in the clay that has been fired and oxidized, and are naturally occurring. This is also part of their individuality, so please compare the expressions of each piece and appreciate the differences.
