Masanori Yamamoto's "Shinogi Narrow Rim Plate (Medium, White)" is a beautiful dish that blends the tradition of Shigaraki ware with Masanori Yamamoto's unique contemporary design.
The delicately carved "shinogi" patterns, meticulously hand-carved one by one, add color to the entire dish. The patterns on the rim not only give a festive impression to the dining table but also highlight the food, making it look more appealing.
A distinctive feature is that the shinogi grooves are thin and arranged in two rows, allowing for more food to be served than a typical rimmed plate.
As each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in color and carving. With use, the dish develops a deeper color and luster, allowing you to enjoy its unique character.
Meals served on Masanori Yamamoto's stylish dishes are sure to make your daily life more cherished.
*As each item is handmade, there may be slight individual differences.
*The black spots on the work are iron particles remaining in the clay that have oxidized during firing, and are naturally occurring. This is also part of its individuality, so please compare the unique expressions of each piece and appreciate the differences.
