Mr. Nukaga Maruya is a ceramic artist born in Tokyo in 1983. After graduating from Aichi Prefectural Ceramics Technical College in 2003, he worked at a pottery factory and honed his skills. He then went independent in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, and began his ceramics career in earnest.
At first glance, the works of Nukaga Maruya appear modest, but upon closer inspection, they exude a powerful presence. His "utensils," made with iron glazes and Mishima patterns, combine nostalgia with modern sophistication.
