A gorgeous plate in the shape of a percussion instrument, with an attractive metallic glaze
Tomokazu Kawasumi's "Dora Bowl/Engraved" is a stylish and luxurious plate with an attractive metallic glaze. It is made by kneading together Kasama clay and coarse-grained clay, and the clay melts the glaze just enough. The yuzuhada (uneven texture like the skin of a yuzu fruit) scattered throughout the piece is a fascinating testament to the handcrafted nature of each piece.
The design is modeled after a gong (a percussion instrument made of bronze, brass, iron, or other metals that produces sound by striking a disc with a drumstick), with engraved patterns on the surface and sides that evoke civilization.
It features an original glaze that can be seen in various metallic tones such as copper or gold depending on the angle. It is perfect for serving a la carte dishes, hors d'oeuvres, sushi, and other dishes when sharing a meal.
There is no doubt that Kawasumi Tomokazu's stylish plates will brighten up your everyday dining table.
