A supreme piece of Furidate, with a unique surface created by roasted clay and a distinctive blue glaze in harmony.

Kawasumi Tomokazu (Kasama ware)'s "ZB-p/Large Sake Cup" is a supreme piece that shows the harmony between the unique surface of the roasted clay and the distinctive blue glaze.

A furidashi is a small vessel used in the tea ceremony to hold sugar candy or bean sweets, and is served before the main sweet. The vessel is shaken to allow the guest to extract the contents.

The surface is made by creating a pattern in the clay and then heating it with a burner, causing the clay to expand and crumble, creating a natural look. A white glaze is then applied on top, creating a one-of-a-kind design with a contrast of black and white. This series is named the ZEBRA (ZB) series because the contrast of black and white resembles the pattern of a zebra. A blue glaze is then applied on top, creating an atmosphere like a microcosm.

Not only can they be used formally at tea ceremonies, but they can also be used in everyday life as containers for sugar candy, nuts, or accessories, and can be enjoyed as small pieces of art that add a touch of class to any space.

*Please note that each piece is unique, so the pattern may vary slightly depending on the piece.
