Charcoal firing is a technique in which charcoal and the work are placed in a pot called a sayabachi and fired at high temperatures without using glaze.
There are a wide variety of baked colors, including those that reflect a gradation of pale beige and gray, and those that have a vivid contrast between black and white.
This is the only one-of-a-kind pottery in the world where no two pieces have the same pattern or color.
The size is easy to use for serving single dishes such as pasta and salads. It can also be used as a cake plate.
